The Altar Servers assist the priests and deacons during Mass by presenting and arranging vessels and other items used in the liturgical celebrations. Other than Saturday and Sunday Masses they may be called upon to assist at other special Masses including weddings and funerals.
Children and teens interested in serving on the altar must be in Grade 3 or older and have received their First Holy Communion. The candidates will receive training and are provided with guidelines to ensure uniformity in their tasks.
We currently have 53 total altar servers but are always looking for new candidates and full training will be provided. It is an excellent opportunity for our children to become fully engaged in their Catholic faith.
